What’s new: DataLyzer FMEA Approval procedures

We have recently introduced a new feature that allows you to set up approval groups, linked to the users. Sometimes you need a document to be approved before issuing an FMEA or CP document. Approvals can be set up to be used in parallel or sequential, meaning the approvals can be done following a specific order or in any order. When approvals are activated you will be able to start the approval procedure and view the approval history by trying to issue the document. This will open up the issuing pop-up: The approval group depends on the responsible person for the document. Before starting the approval cycle it is possible to switch approval groups, but once the cycle is started the group is locked. While the approval is in progress the document is also locked and cannot be edited. When anyone rejects the document the approval cycle will be stopped and the document will be opened to be adjusted before starting the approval cycle again. Once the approval cycle is completed the document can be issued to create the official version of your document. Contact your account manager or sales@datalyzer.com for more information!

Must Read: Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R)

Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R) is becoming more important and is required in more and more industries. Originally, type 2 studies were mostly used, but nowadays with more automation, we see Type 1 and Type 3 studies being used more frequently. In this whitepaper we explain how Type 1, 2 and 3 studies are implemented in DataLyzer Gage Management and how this relates to different criteria and the usage of SPC and automatic measurements like CMMs. Read the entire whitepaper here. New Webinar planned: The new Control Plan reference Manual

This month (March 1st 2024) a new reference manual was released for Control Plans. It has become a separate book from the APQP reference manual. Decoupling these two handbooks will support more timely updates as systems evolve. APQP and Control Plan are linked by requirements in APQP much like FMEA, SPC, MSA and PPAP. Join our webinar to learn more about the requirements, like the added column, the link with Reverse FMEA, family and foundation FMEAs and Control Plans and more. We will host the webinar on Thursday the 11th of April on 10AM GMT/ UCT and 3PM GMT/ UCT to serve most time zones.
