The Specification Limit target, for example, should be set based on your process setpoint so you can trust your process capability and performance indices. Do not use Specification Limits for Net Control.

Net Content Control Limits are set to ensure compliance with net content laws.

All of these limits serve their own distinct purpose and tell a different part of the story when a violation or non-conformity appears. It is imperative to use an SPC system with all of these limits available.
