Cloud Administrator

We are looking to expand our team in Bangalore, India, by recruiting a highly skilled Cloud Administrator to design, implement, and maintain a private cloud infrastructure on virtualized environments and instances. This role demands deep expertise in Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, infrastructure automation, security, and monitoring, with strong ownership of production systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage private cloud environments on virtual machines / instances

Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based production systems

Build and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform

Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments

Configure and maintain networking, firewalls, and security policies

Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using scripting (Bash/Python)

Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging systems

Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies

Monitor system performance, availability, and security

Ensure systems are secure, patched, and compliant with best practices

Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for deployment and scaling

Our preference goes to a professional with 5 to 10 years of experience in system administration / cloud infrastructure. At least 2–4 years hands-on with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation is required.

We are looking for a professional with strong ownership mindset for production systems and the ability to handle high-scale, mission-critical infrastructures. A proactive approach to security, monitoring and reliability is a must as well as strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking.

Required Skills & Experience (Mandatory)

• Strong experience in Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) in production environments
• Hands-on expertise in private cloud / VM-based infrastructure setup and management
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing)
• Proven experience with Docker and Kubernetes (cluster setup, deployments, scaling, troubleshooting)
• Strong experience in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) including build, deploy, and rollback strategies
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or similar) including alerting and log management
• Strong knowledge of security practices and firewall configuration (iptables, ufw, access control, system hardening)
• Experience implementing backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash or Python) for automation and operational efficiency
•  Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, containers, and distributed systems
• Working knowledge of Git / version control systems

Nice to Have (Preferred Skills)

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of load balancing and high availability (HA) setups
• Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd)
• Exposure to GitOps practices (ArgoCD, Flux)
• Experience managing multi-cluster Kubernetes environments
